Kitty: Our first baby

The beautiful girl above is our lovely Kitty (not the most creative name but it was the only name that seemed to fit her).

I rescued her from a mall run pet shop when she was three years old.

The moment I set her down inside our apartment she was home. It was as if she was always meant to be here... like we'd known each other all our lives.

We've had her for about 6 years now and I can't imagine life without her. She's my little girl (although she's not so little these days).

We spend a lot of "mommy-and-me" time cuddling and watching TV together. She often comes and sits in front of my laptop while I'm working on this website and really tries to distract me... and sometimes it works... she's persistent and hard to resist!

She's such a loving cat and she really is a momma's girl. When I've had a rough day, I really enjoy cuddling with her and petting her while I listen to her purr. She reminds me that love and happiness is right here at home and everything else is just life.

She's had a rough time adjusting to our newest addition (Gunner, our rescued Pitbull) but she's managing. She's become a bit more feisty and while she won't admit it, I think she likes having him around.

For myself and my husband, Happiness is most definitely our pets!
