Many wonder... What is Happiness?
Explaining what happiness is can be quite difficult. It's the feeling you get when you're having fun, or when you feel loved, or when life is good... for example.
Happiness is often thought of as a smile. Happy people tend to smile more which is our natural physical way of displaying body language that tells the world that we are happy.
Happiness does not occur in the absence of difficulties or struggle. Feeling peaceful and content with life regardless of the challenges you face is always possible. Happiness is attainable for everyone.
Often, people who experience high levels of stress or chronic stress tend to rate themselves as "less happy". So effective stress management can definitely play a role in your ability to experience and feel happy regardless of life circumstance.
Happiness is a feeling that is created by experiencing things you enjoy in life. And while many of us enjoy the same things, we also enjoy many different things. Therefore, each person's idea of what happiness is will be different.
Taking the time to sit down and really think about what makes you happy is an important exercise if you feel that you need to experience more joy in your life. You need to first know what that joy is... then go after it!
