February 03, 2009
Hi, and YOU

February 2009 - Issue #002: Your Stressful Life has become a passion filled project that helps myself and many others, like you, learn about stress and learn how to live a less stressful life. In this issue, I'm going to share with you some BIG changes that will be coming to the site. These changes & additions will hopefully make the time you spend on the website more enjoyable and involved. As we move forward, I hope that you'll share your thoughts and ideas on these changes and help me to make this website one of your favorites!

Best Wishes,
Jill R.

Your Inspirational Stories

Since this website began, I have received many emails from readers. You've shared your tips, ideas, and your inspirational stories.

More than anything else, hearing from you is what I enjoy most.

So what's the big news?

I've decided that it's time to let you speak to not only me, but to everyone else who visits Over the next few months, you'll be hearing about new opportunities to share your thoughts, ideas, tips, and stories and have them posted on the website.

I will be asking you to participate in many different stress related subjects and allow you to share your stressful life with other readers. You'll be able to upload stories as well as pictures in some instances. It's your chance to not only give others inspiration, but also a chance to use writing to cope with your stress.

I'm currently in the research phase of this new addition, but be on the lookout for these new changes to happen within the next few months... and as a subscriber of Stress Free Living, you'll be the first to be notified of your chance to share your inspirational stories with the world as well as read what others have written.

Valentines Day Stress?

Believe it or not, Valentines Day can be stressful to some. If you are one of those people who hates this day of "love", here are some stress free ways to celebrate a mushy love holiday:

  • Take out your camera. Love doesn't only occur between two people. You can have a love of nature, animals, buildings, or any number of other things. Use this day to get yourself out on a scavenger hunt for things you love and take pictures. This is a very simple activity that will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside without having to worry about being hit by a little man carrying a bow and arrow.
  • Have a singles night out. This is a common activity that many participate in each year. Many single friends, co-workers, and family members go out for dinner and simply enjoy each other's company to avoid sitting at home alone (which I happen to enjoy). However, if you are surrounded by couples and don't know any single people, pretend you never read this.
  • Make Valentines for others. If you don't have anyone specific to give a valentine to, be creative and remember that there are many people in the world and in your own community that could use a bit of love. Do you have a local Children's hospital or Homeless Shelter? Taking the time to create homemade cards for strangers in need will not only brighten their day, but it will brighten yours as well.

So, if you are someone who experiences stress on Valentines Day, do it different this year. Be creative and find ways to show yourself a little love.
