I used hypnosis for awhile to help me with stress. I would go in for a session every week or every couple of weeks. I always looked forward to the sessions because I would leave feeling amazing. I would feel relaxed and happy.
During the session, I would sit in a comfy chair and focus on the hypnotists' voice until my body and mind relaxed enough that my eyes closed on their own. After that, I can't say exactly what happened and how it happened. The strange thing is that you are very aware of what is going on, but you're in such a relaxed state that it doesn't all come back clearly when the session is over.
I can remember him asking me questions that I was able to answer. This is one of the many reasons that it's important to find a hypnotist that you trust.
All in all, hypnosis is a great experience. I would recommend it to everyone. In fact, many of my friends and co-workers have started going for various reasons.
I have a friend who is going for help with weight-loss and another who is going for help to quit smoking. The benefits and possibilities with hypnosis are endless.
